GemHOME

Help with Gem Home

Find what you have stored. Help with iCloud, sharing and Plus.

Getting started

Gem Home uses the iCloud account already on your iPhone. You do not create a separate Gem Home account. Unlock with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode, view the introduction, choose a name and create your first home.

Where are my homes?

Check that you are using the same iCloud account as before and that your phone is connected to the internet. A loading screen appears while your homes are retrieved. Do not delete the app or a home to resolve a sync problem.

Sharing and QR codes

Invite members from My homes using Apple’s sharing dialog. Invitees need iCloud and must accept the invitation. A QR code opens storage for members of the corresponding home; it does not make its contents public.

Plus and payments

Apple handles Plus purchases and subscription management. Choose which homes your plan covers. Restore purchases on the Plus page. Prices and currency follow your App Store account for Media & Purchases. Apple shows the final amount before approval. Switching from monthly to annual billing may take effect at the next renewal.

Deleting and transferring

The owner can delete a home under My homes. To change ownership, an existing member accepts a verified copy in their own iCloud. Only then does the owner complete the transfer and remove the original. Other members need new invitations, and Plus stays with the purchaser’s account. Logging out does not delete your home or Apple Account.

Contact

Email gemhomeapp@icloud.com with your app version and build number from More, your iOS version and a description of the problem. Do not send your device passcode, Apple password, private sharing links or unnecessary details about your belongings.
